Inquipco and Mr. Crane

About Us

Our company was founded by Lee Steinberg in 1980 in Reno, Nevada as Intermountain Crane. At the inception, our fleet consisted of a few crawler cranes and a fleet of rough terrain cranes from 18 tons to a then awesome 40 tons in capacity. These cranes were quickly employed by project constructors throughout California and the Mountain West.

As the Nevada mining business grew and prospered so did Intermountain Crane. Products that fit the hard rock mining industry were added to the crane, boom truck, and ancillary lifting equipment lines. These drill rigs, air compressors, generator sets, and mine consumable products led the company to change its name to Inquipco (Intermountain Equipment), to better reflect the products and services offered its customers. Southern Nevada began a decade’s long cycle of fantastic growth leading to the birth of Inquipco’s Las Vegas facility which quickly became the flagship of the company. To meet the market demands, the company became a premier supplier of telescoping boom forklifts, large straight mast forklifts and aerial lifts in addition to cranes and lifting equipment.

Lee purchased Mr. Crane in the middle 1990’s. Mr. Crane was, and remains, the premier tilt up construction crane company in Southern California. As it has expanded and prospered Mr. Crane has also become a major player in the industrial construction market throughout the Western United States.

This partnership of two companies, both expert in their field, means that our customers rely on us for all levels of project equipment support whether the job be in Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho or Texas. Let us help you have a successful venture. We are the lifting and project support experts.
